Second Level

Spirit Armour (Protection, Second Level)

Range:  Touch
Duration:  5 minutes
Activation Phrase:  Spirit Armour 3
Effect: The touched target gains 3 points of spirit armour.

Third Level

Spirit Defence (Protection, Third Level)

Range:  Touch
Duration:  5 minutes
Activation Phrase:  Spirit Defence
Effect: The touched target is protected from all effects of the next physically damaging attack. This miracle will block a spiritual, elemental or physical attack. This does not block the retribution from abusing the ‘Befriend’ miracle.

Fourth Level

Group Spirit Armour (Protection, Fourth Level)

Range:  30ft radius (group)
Duration:  5 minutes
Activation Phrase:  Group Spirit Armour 3
Effect: Each member of the priest’s battle group gains 3 points of spirit armour.

Fifth Level

Group Spirit Defence (Protection, Fifth Level)

Range:  30ft radius (group)
Duration:  5 minutes
Activation Phrase:  Group Spirit Defence
Effect: Each member of the priests battle group is protected from all effects of the next physically damaging attack. This miracle will block a spiritual, elemental or physical attack. This does not block the retribution from abusing the ‘Befriend’ miracle.

Sixth Level

Sanctuary (Protection, Sixth Level)

Range:  Touch
Duration:  5 minutes
Activation Phrase:  Sanctuary
Effect: The touched target gains 6 points of spirit armour. While the character has any of this spirit armour remaining, they may reduce the initial damage taken to a double. This does not remove any other effects which that attack may have.

Eg: If a character under Sanctuary was hit by a ‘Lightning Quad Venom Paralysis’, they would reduce it to a ‘Lightning Double Venom Paralysis’. But a ‘Spirit Single Venom Five’ would remain as ‘Spirit Single Venom Five’.

This effect is applied instead of any other damage-altering effects, as the Sanctuary miracle provides an outer layer of spiritual armour around the character until that armour is destroyed. For example, a Nixie under the effect of Sanctuary would take both Flaming Triple (normally doubled) and Freezing Triple (normally halved) as Double to the spirit armour. If this Double partially penetrates the spirit armour (if there is only 1 point of spirit armour remaining when the blow is struck) the Nixie then takes the remainder of the damage as they normally would a Flaming/Freezing Single.

Seventh Level

Group Empowered Spirit Armour (Protection, Seventh Level)

Range:  30ft radius (group)
Duration:  5 minutes
Activation Phrase:  Group Spirit Armour 5
Effect: Each member of the priests battle group gains 5 points of spirit armour.

Eighth Level

Group Sanctuary (Protection, Eighth Level)

Range:  30ft radius (group)
Duration:  5 minutes
Activation Phrase:  Group Sanctuary
Effect: Each member of the priests battle group gains 6 points of spirit armour. While each character has any of this spirit armour remaining, they may reduce any damage taken to a double. This does not remove any other effects which that attack may have.
