Second Level

Raise Undead 2 (Necromancy, Second Level)

Range:  Touch
Duration:  Somewhere between 15 minutes and 24 hours
Activation Phrase:  Raise Undead Two
Effect: After performing a 1 minute ritual over the corpse of someone who died in the last 5 minutes, the corpse reanimates as an undead under your control. It will obey all orders you give it. You do not have to maintain physical contact, but it must remain within 30ft of you at all times or the miracle immediately ends. Otherwise the effect lasts for as long as the spirit inside can endure, which is no less than 15 minutes and no more than 24 hours (Note: You’re guaranteed 15 minutes but it lasts until the monster is needed elsewhere or gets bored; treat any duration over 15 minutes as a bonus). When the effect ends, or when the undead is reduced to 0 hits, the body disintegrates into ash and can’t be cast on again. You may not have more than a single non-sentient undead raised at the same time.
If Lay to Rest has been used on a body, that body cannot be used for necromancy.
The undead follows simple orders that you give it aloud in a language you choose when casting. The undead has 6 global hits. It is rank 2 and must have one and only one of the following types:
Skeleton: Fights at full speed. Deals singles with a single one-handed weapon.

Third Level

Raise Undead 3 (Necromancy, Third Level)

Range:  Touch
Duration:  Somewhere between 15 minutes and 24 hours
Activation Phrase:  Raise Undead Three
Effect: As ‘Raise Undead 2’ except the undead has 9 global hits, the undead is rank 3, and the following is added to the list of types to choose from:
Zombie: Fights at half speed. Deals doubles with any one weapon.

Fourth Level

Raise Undead 4 (Necromancy, Fourth Level)

Range:  Touch
Duration:  Somewhere between 15 minutes and 24 hours
Activation Phrase:  Raise Undead Four
Effect: As ‘Raise Undead 3’ except the undead has 12 global hits, the undead is rank 4, and the following is also added to the list of types to choose from:
Ghoul: Fights at full speed. Deals singles by ambidexing short weapons. It has its global hits reduced by 6. It has one use of a Spirit Paralysis blade venom.

Fifth Level

Raise Undead 5 (Necromancy, Fifth Level)

Range:  Touch
Duration:  Somewhere between 15 minutes and 24 hours
Activation Phrase:  Raise Undead Five
Effect: As ‘Raise Undead 4’ except the undead has 15 global hits, the undead is rank 5, and the following is also added to the list of types to choose from:
Ghast: Fights at half speed. Deals doubles with any one weapon. It has its global hits reduced by 2. It has one use of weakness by touch, which can be delivered with weapon.

Sixth Level

Dominate Undead (Necromancy, Sixth Level)

Range:  30 feet
Duration:  One hour
Activation Phrase:  Dominate Undead
Effect: You may control any non-sapient undead of rank 5 or lower as though you had raised them by using the activation phrase “Control Undead 5”. You may only dominate any two undead at any time. You may not dominate any undead that is already under the effects of this miracle.

Seventh Level

Raise Undead 6 (Necromancy, Seventh Level)

Range:  Touch
Duration:  Somewhere between 15 minutes and 24 hours
Activation Phrase:  Raise Undead Six
Effect: As ‘Raise Undead 5’ except for the following changes:
The undead has 18 global hits.
The undead is rank 6.
The undead may use a shield and any weapons.
Any ability it has one use of, it now has two uses of.

Eighth Level

Create Wight (Necromancy, Eighth Level)

Range:  Touch
Duration:  Instantaneous
Activation Phrase:  Create Wight
Effect: After performing a 1 minute ritual over the corpse of someone who died in the last 5 minutes, you bind the spirit of the deceased into the corpse, creating a wight. The wight is bound to follow any instructions you give it for the next 5 minutes, but is otherwise a fully sapient and independent undead. After the initial 5 minutes, the wight regains free will. It will remember everything you told it to do while a wight, though will not remember anything between its death and being raised.
The wight is created as a sapient rank 8 undead with 18 global hits. It has the skills Warrior 6, Melee 6 and Two-Handed. The wight can use Death Ward on itself once per day; in order to do so it must first invoke an eight word vocal. The wight has one use of one miracle you are capable of casting per day, which it chooses upon creation. If the wight is destroyed by non-spirit damage, then it will reform on the next new moon. Wights are capable of learning, and may gain additional skills over time. They may also create fully independent groups of mundane undead over downtime periods.
PCs (and potentially NPCs the Ref Team deem of great enough importance) use the following rules: Wight Package.
