Five Facts about Caillon
For your OC reference, or IC if your character is from Caillon or has visited it in the past.
- Clan Rule: Caillon is ruled by the major clans, who choose from among them the High King. The clans fight among themselves to expand their power and influence, but stand together against external threats.
- Largely Triplicite: The Triplicity is revered by the majority of Caillians, and it is through this God’s authority that the Clans derive their power.
- Freed from Vampiric Rule: Between 1275 and 1297 Caillon was ruled, either wholly or partially, by vampire overlords. The influence of the Vivamortian faith can still be found throughout the country.
- Border Raiders: Many of the border clans of Caillon are always up for a good scrap with their neighbours to the south – quite a few of whom give as good as they get. A few clans even go so far as to join the Oraskans and Astra Rubans in raiding over the sea in Athryn.
- Demonic Undercurrents: Clan McKilloch, one of the major clans of Caillon, are said to practice demonology. Those who would trifle with them are warned to beware.
